It's been an interesting day here in our household. This was the last day of school for Jared and now he is off for Thanksgiving break! We decided it would be a good idea to gather up the kids and take them to the local Toys R Us and let them point out what they want for Christmas. It was fun to watch Will, especially, get really excited when he saw something he really liked. It amused me to see what the kids actually were interested in! For example, Jared really enjoys helping me in the kitchen and was very interested in the toy pots & pans. Will got very enthusiastic about Dora & doll babies. This is completely understandable since he does spend everyday playing with his older sister. The funniest thing of all, though, was Miss Priss Klara going bonkers over a King Kong doll! It was HILARIOUS!
After about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes of that, we were more than ready to escape from that nuthouse. Man, were there a lot of people in there! Whewee I felt like I was going to lose my mind before we finally escaped.

I then meandered over to the Healthy Food Store and picked up a Nasaline Neti Syringe. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Neti, it is an ancient form of nasal irrigation using warm salt water. You basically use a Neti pot or another similar tool and flush your nose out. It seriously puts a dent in allergies & viruses and makes you feel a whole lot better. It is painless, if done correctly, and actually very relaxing. Go ahead...try it! You know you are curious now!
Heh...while I was there I also stocked up on some Burt's Bees facial supplies and Horizon Organic Milk. Don't get me wrong...I am generally a very frugal mom...however I have been reading articles on milk & know it is true (as I studied agriculture & was raised on a farm) I decided to pay a little bit extra and buy the organic milk. It's mindboggling how many bovine growth hormones, pesticides, & antibiotics that could be floating around in regular milk. What a shame! Personally, I was raised on milk that we actually purchased from a small dairy farm run by an elderly couple. It was awesome! I was curious to see if the taste of the milk differed and it truly did. I was mightily taken aback by the price, but I think I will use it from now on. Since being weaned, I have had a terrible time getting Will to drink the milk he needs. I would have to warm it up and add a teaspoon of sugar just to get him to drink it. This evening, I poured him a sippy cup of the organic milk and he downed it! That, in itself, is worth every cent.
Well it is late and I am off to bed. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Talk to y'all later!
