Remember that happiness is a way of travel - not a destination.

I've never been to a funeral before where there was no body.  I'm talking no body, no ashes, nothing.  My Aunt Judi's funeral was today and this is how it was.  There was no picture of her, either.  I guess it is the church that does it that way, I don't know.  It wasn't really a good funeral (not that any funeral is "good").  They didn't speak much of her and seemed to just take it as an opportunity to try and recruit or convince people that their religious viewpoints were correct.  Ugh.  I've never left a funeral before not knowing where someone was...their soul or their body.  But today that happened.

The day started with my nephews coming over for a little visit.  They were really good for me and I was happy to see them.  And you all know how much I hate rocking babies!  LOL  That Ethan is such a joy to my heart.  What a super cute little guy!  And Isiah helped Jared load the dishwasher!  I was the big winner this morning, for sure.

I have been spending a lot less time online.  I am getting too old to stay up as late as I had been doing and it was starting to take a toll.  I have been taking a nice bubble bath in the evenings, rolling my hair, and going to bed at a decent hour.  I have started setting my alarm and getting up before the kids get up and getting myself dressed.  This has made such an improvement in my well being and happiness.  Also, I'm a lot less tired, which is always a good thing.

Will has now figured out how to scale his crib and escape.  He was very pleased and thrilled to be able to do this, so we have had to discourage his behavior.  Putting one tiny boy to bed twenty times in one evening gets a bit tiresome!  LOL

Klara has decided that she would like to have her hair rolled in the evenings, as well, so she now sports some curly hair for part of the day.  Her hair is so straight that it doesn't stay that way long.  But she has fun, anyway, and any four year old who can sleep in sponge rollers all night is quite a gal!

My mom is home from the hospital and doing well with her knee replacement.  It won't be long and she'll be up and cruising around like a trouper again.

That's about it for me.  I'll try and update in the next few days....

Hugs to everyone!
