Jared, Isiah, Will, Klara, & Ethan
I hope that everyone had a great Easter. We thoroughly enjoyed dressing the kids up and taking them to church on Easter Sunday. My sister-in-law & nephews were there, as well, and so I was able to get a picture of all of them in one place. I got it enlarged to 8x10 and framed and took it to the hospital for Rich's grandma who has been ill. I also got a couple of 5x7's and gave them to Rich's parents since this is all of their grandkids together. Everyone seemed pretty pleased. If you would like to see all of the Easter pictures, click here and you can get the link and password to the gallery. I love to see the kids dressed up...so cute!
Jared and I went up to the hospital yesterday after church to take Rich's grandma the pictures and an Easter lilly. When we got there the nurses were like, "is your car parked out front?"
Ummm....no...why? It seems they had discharged her and they thought I was taking her home. The problem was that I have no key to her house and I know nothing about her care and medications once I would get her there, even if I could get her in. She was still very ill and was trying not to get sick because she was afraid they would keep her! Ended up I took her home and luckily her daughter was there by the time I got her home. Poor Mama then got really sick and vomited a lot that evening. However, she seemed much better today so I hope that she stays that way. She is a tough lady.
We took Jared to meet up with Rich's mom this evening. He is spending his spring break with Grandma and Grandpa. I'm sure that he will have a lot of fun and many stories to tell when he gets home. He was so excited that he woke me up this morning packing his clothes in a little plastic walmart bag! It was cute to see what all he packed. He had packed a sweatshirt, two socks that didn't match, a pair of underwear that were too small, a pair of sweatpants, and a magnadoodle. I explained he might want his shorts and tee shirts and he insisted he was ready to get out of here. hahahaha...After repacking his suitcase we set off and left him with his grandma. It's awful strange to only have the two younger ones here, that is for sure.
This evening we stopped to eat and we met a couple who had nine children. Yep, you heard me right...nine kids. Not only that, but they have had a stillborn baby and a miscarriage of quadruplets. On top of that, she had been told she was infertile and had conceived most of these babies on birth control! Craziness. Four of their children were results of twin births (2 sets of twins). They told us that they would have a dozen if they could have them and they seemed very happy and well behaved. I was very impressed. It was nice to see a big, happy family where the parents viewed their children as blessings and not burdens.
Speaking of lots of babies....my friend at church who I mentioned had recently found out she was pregnant after a few years of infertility got a surprise the other day. They did an ultrasound and found that she is expecting TRIPLETS! Yep, there are three of those little boogers in there! She is excited, but she has NO idea! I have three but not at the same time. I cannot even imagine how overwhelming that would be to a first-time mom. Please keep her in your prayers that she is able to carry these three little babies long enough for them to be healthy.
Well I must go to bed, so I will write more tomorrow. Everyone have a great evening!
