**Wednesday morning update** I'm sitting here watching the morning news and can I just say that they need to just execute Sadam Hussein and be done with him? He is refusing to go to his trial? Hmmm...no....I don't think so. Hang him!** Stepping off of soapbox
Greetings! Last night we finally got our Christmas tree up and decorated, which made the children extremely happy. While Jared and I were peeking into the attic for other Christmas items, we spotted a old big Stroh's beer box way in a rather inaccessible section. Jared wanted to see what it was, so he got back in there and brought it out. As it turns out, the box was full of old books (not ours as we have only lived here for three years). They were mostly books of poetry and such & even one first edition book of poetry signed by the author! There was one from 1900 and one from 1911. Also there was an official report put out by the government about World War II. Extremely interesting stuff! However, within minutes after exiting the attic, Jared started wheezing and coughing and ended up having an asthma attack. I guess it was an asthma attack...
See, Jared has always had problems with sprays and other things like that. If he got around these things the next morning he would wake up croupy. So, we never really pursued the asthma route because we were always able to get him to pull out of it quickly with a cup of coffee (has natural theophylline in it) and benadryl. We've noticed that over the past few months he has been having more of these episodes and they take longer for him to recover from & last night was pretty bad. I guess we are going to have to take him and get him diagnosed with asthma so we can get a prescription for a nebulizer and keep it handy just in case he gets himself into a pickle. I would rather find a doctor who would treat it conservatively and not want to put him on a zillion medications every day. I just do not like the thoughts of that.
Jared is fine today and went on to school with no problems. The books in question are sealed up in a garbage bag and I haven't been able to look through them anymore for fear that they will make him sick again. So I'm not sure what all I have yet.
I have gotten to where I have started baking rolls every day for dinner. I have a lot more energy since I started back on the metformin for the PCOS. I have made a nice big dinner each night that we sit at the table and eat. This evening I made a blueberry creme pie with meringue. I think that is why the kids are acting so much better. Before I was alway just so tired I couldn't hardly do anything. Just pure exhaustion most of the time and it was hard for everyone in the house. Now, I am enjoying everything so much more and it is good not to feel so awful all of the time. I wish more people knew about this problem and they would not have to feel this way.
Anyway, I hope that everyone has a great evening and I will write more later...
